Resumen
In Colombia, as in the rest of the world, changes are currently taking place at political, economic and cultural levels that go hand in hand with globalization and the neoliberal model. These phenomena, which encompass all aspects of modern life, involve a series of consequences in the life of the common people, who without identifying them fully, become an indispensable part of these phenomena. As Ulrich Beck would say (2004) Globalization means the perceptible loss of frontiers of everyday activities in the different dimensions of economy, information, ecology, technology, transcultural conflicts and civil society, and basically related to all this, something that is at the same time familiar and ungraspable - difficult to grasp - that clearly modifies everyday life with perceptible violence and forces everyone to adapt and respond. (p.187) Phenomena such as globalization or neoliberalism, put at risk the rooting against the customs and traditions that are part of the culture of the subjects. In some cases, the culture with the strongest attachment to the beliefs and customs of the community or society to which they belong, becomes transformed according to the degree of contact with other cultures. For this reason, it is common to see that phenomena such as globalization or neoliberalism generate a possible unlearnment on the part of the common subjects, of what are their most ingrained customs so that in this way they can begin to operate in a manner consistent with economic models. and predominant cultural. The subjects of the current world end up influenced by these phenomena, with the possibility of conserving their customs, but always with the constant risk of being absorbed by the hegemonic culture. Another aspect to take into account are the imaginaries, formed by representations that shape our environment, whether material, conceptual, ideological or linguistic, whether they are present or absent, existing or non-existent, they end up forming what we think of ourselves and think about us, points important in the formation of an identity (Noël, 2004). Processes such as globalization or neoliberalism create new imaginaries of global identity in which all are included but in reality only the thoughts and customs that can be used to favor these processes will be accepted. It is necessary the adoption of tools by students that allow them to participate in the globalized society without leaving aside their culture or their identity.
