Resumen
Urban planning is an important area that should be addressed by the entities responsible for the public administration of a city, municipality, department and country to ensure a development, Mosquera has presented an accelerated growth in its population and urban area in a short period of time which has led it to occupy the first place among the municipalities of Cundinamarca with higher population growth so that it can be generated positively or negatively affecting the environment, mobility, security, economy and demand for goods and services. This work intends to study the effects generated by the population growth in Mosquera, using different historical sources, statistics, interviews with residents of the municipality and documentary sources such as the plans of territorial ordering. Thanks to the analyses carried out, it is possible to observe that there were impacts on the urban footprint, environment, mobility and real estate, in addition to this from the perspective of the inhabitants of the municipality in the different dimensions addressed (social, economic, environmental), observing how this variation in the vision they had of their territory denoted negative or positive aspects. In this way, we can compare the indicators used by the administrative identities in order to draw conclusions about the factors that led to these fundamental changes in the roots of their territory, and to demonstrate the type of management and contingency that has been put in place to address this problem.
