Resumen
The present research work focuses on two important topics, the family-school relationship and environmental education, more precisely from recycling, this exercise seeks to consolidate the family-school relationship with families of the educational institution Porfirio Barba Jacob B school with grades 101 J.M and 1101 J.T, located in the locality of Bosa in Bogotá. In which family members have shared and consensual responsibilities with the school, which need to be incorporated into the educational goals in search of a common welfare, which in this case refers to the PEI and the PRAE; it is from there that tensions and disagreements arise to develop this important relationship, which aims to transcend the classroom and show how a set of strategies encourages participation, communication and co-responsibility between family and school, such as responsible practices in the management of solid waste "recycling". The main findings in this project refer to the potential that families have when participating in school activities to which they are invited, for this it is important to generate an attitude of openness and trust, after generating an enabling environment agreements are made, for this there are many challenges to be addressed, teachers must learn to manage families from the educational environment and make the school provide the necessary support and communication according to the contexts and characteristics of the community.
