Resumen
The main purpose of this work is oriented under the objective of strengthening the teaching and learning process, focusing on specific needs of reading and writing competence in students of basic secondary education, specifically ninth grade, taking into account official documents of the Ministry of education of the country. This will be achieved through a proposal based on the Blended Learning (B-Learning) modality, which seeks to develop key practices and elements in the field of reading. To prepare this document, some theoretical concepts were taken as a basis that provided appropriate guidance regarding the intention of Blended Learning; its modality, its range of action, its dynamism and its mode of application. For the purpose of this research, the level of implementation focused on activities is delimited, where the combination of face-to-face elements with elements based on computer-mediated communication is proposed, thus allowing the interaction of students with the academy and mixing face-to-face training with the incorporation of virtual aids as reinforcement. This places students in dynamic interaction spaces, in which flexibility is generated through better communication and personalization of learning. Each person has their own unique way of learning and B-Learning helps these ways become more accessible and complete processes. In this sense, taking into account the approaches of Stole (2020), who points out the importance of linking free-time activities with deep reading exercises, an argumentative digital text was selected, located in a virtual newspaper accompanied by images that They energize the content, related to social networks. In this way, the need that the author raises to relate reading with spaces and topics that are close to the characterized reader will be met.
