Resumen
The independent music scene in Colombia is witnessing a remarkable phenomenon: music dissemination through social media. This research examines how independent musicians and promoters utilize digital platforms to spread their music, engage with their audience, and foster creative communities. Accompanied by an audiovisual product featuring interviews with prominent figures in the independent music scene, this study offers an insightful perspective on the impact of social media on the promotion and dissemination of independent music in Colombia. Through dialogues with musicians, promoters, and other key stakeholders, strategies, challenges, and opportunities in this ever-evolving digital landscape are revealed. From the virality of music videos to direct interaction with fans on platforms such as Instagram and Youtube, this study explores how social media transformed the promotion and consumption of independent music in Colombia.
