Resumen
This research work results from the analysis of mobility conditions in Bogotá D.C., the Capital District of Colombia. Its main objective is to develop a methodological proposal for traffic management that provides a systematic approach to evaluating mobility issues in urban corridors. To this end, the methodological design was structured into five phases, which enable the identification, characterization, and evaluation of the variables that affect corridor mobility, namely infrastructure, road design and signage, traffic conditions, and road safety. Once these variables were defined, specific indicators associated with each were established, and a weighting scale was assigned to reflect their condition and, consequently, the overall state of mobility. The ratings assigned to each variable for every roadway corridor generate a diagnostic framework that makes it possible to identify, measure, and monitor mobility conditions in urban corridors.
