Resumen
Along this document, automation is shown, under simulation that recreates the chemical processes and automation that is implemented in a flare system (real process of the sector Oil & Gas), documenting the process simulation, automation and procedures shown design achieving a useful knowledge base for future engineers to develop academic activities in this area. At first the system definition is made, shown generally each of its subsystems and then in a P&ID in some detail, the subsystems are described, as are the tea, the separator tank (KO drum), the hydraulic seal and auxiliary systems. Three real examples are also shown, that represent the validity and importance of this type of system. Subsequently, the methodology for automation is presented, simulation under a flare system, supported with ASPEN HYSYS simulation software ®, and ROCKWELL AUTOMATION ®. On the one hand, there is the software responsible for simulating the process of burning hydrocarbons; on the other hand, the software is responsible for automating the simulated process. To achieve integration between ASPEN HYSYS ® and ROCKWELL AUTOMATION ®, handshaking dynamic data (DDE acronym) is used, by means of macros that support communication between ASPEN HYSYS ® and ROCKWELL AUTOMATION, which in once let you know in real time the status of the variables involved in the process. In order to display this data in a visible way, through an HMI, and the status of the related instrumentation is used to Proficy HMI / SCADA software - iFIX ®.
