Resumen
In the oil industry, companies carry out operations and activities in the territory for the extraction of crude oil. These operations must comply with the guidelines established by the corresponding environmental authorities. Thus, the officials in charge of the company Frontera Energy must manage environmental information for decision making and analysis required to respond to the requirements and responsibilities acquired with the environmental authority, which in the case of Colombia is the National Authority of Environmental Licensing (ANLA). For this reason, a centralized, updated and articulated web GIS tool is proposed to provide the environmental information management required in the exploratory drilling operations to facilitate the control, visualization and access to the data in a dynamic and effective way for the company's employees. In the same line, the proposal consists of the design, development and implementation of a web geo viewer with all the intrinsic structural and logical components for its operation as a tool that aims to provide environmental information where users through queries, selections, searches and other available functionalities can provide solutions to their needs. The prototype of the geo viewer called GeoLAM was developed under the methodological approach of software engineering SCRUM, so with such an agile and flexible methodology it was possible to develop and culminate with a functional prototype where the visualization of data is done efficiently and effectively avoiding reprocessing, wasteful searches or difficult access to information, not to mention that it is outdated, among other factors that affect and prolong the final decision making by the officials in charge. The development phases of the application are composed as a sequential structure where each of its components are of vital importance for its final operation.
