Artes de la madre tierra: Para generar conciencia ambiental y fomentar la imaginación creadora a través de la siembra estética vertical con niños y niñas del curso 402 (2017) y 502 (2018) de la IED Julio Garavito Armero

Abstract

This document shows the research carried out within the basis of the internship “Earth’s art to strengthen environmental awareness in kindergarten and elementary students of the Julio Garavito Armero District Educational Institution. This research focuses mainly on a population of fourth and fifth grade of elementary school where an environmental awareness was developed through a process of artistic exploration with natural elements, the construction of a vertical aesthetic garden of medicinal plants, the identification of themselves as "Ecoguardians" and the creation of a book of stories that accounts for the process as well as encouraging imagination and creative writing. This project is assumed as an alternative pedagogical proposal that allowed the population to generate critical thinking regarding the reality of the environmental field, as well as to bring to the classroom the ancestrally and knowledge of planting.
