Resumen
This degree work focuses on the creation and interpretation of two musical arrangements in which traditional popular music from the Andean region of Colombia, specifically a pasillo and a bambuco, are fused with elements of jazz. These arrangements are based on the musical analysis of a sample of six works and some jazz styles, which seeks to identify some particularities of each genre that allow a coherent development to determine which elements will be treated in each of the arrangements to achieve a balanced fusion between the aforementioned genres. On the other hand, as a context in which this work is developed and analyzed, the history and the Educational Program Project (PEP) of the Curricular Project of Musical Arts (PCAM) of the Faculty of Arts ASAB is documented, giving importance to its particularities compared to other university music education programs in the city, by recognizing and valuing the cultural and musical richness of Colombia.
