Diseño e implementación de un curso de cosecha y postcosecha perteneciente a la línea de formación de la Subdirección Educativa y Cultural del Jardín Botánico de Bogotá

Abstract

Colombia, despite being a country with great fruit and vegetable potential, faces significant challenges in the continuity, volume and quality of its agricultural production, especially in the harvest and post-harvest stages. The pre-harvest and harvest stages are crucial, as they affect the quality and durability of fresh produce. Post-harvest losses represent a serious problem, intensified by climate change and the constraints of smallholder farmers. In response to these difficulties, a course on harvesting and post-harvesting was developed by the Educational and Cultural department of the Botanical Garden of Bogotá to train participants in sustainable and resilient agricultural practices.
