Resumen
The research is approached from a perspective of the studies of social imaginary from the sociology of Castoriadis because as he mentions the social imaginary they are the creative force of the social world where cohesion is contributed to the collective through imaginary meanings and the existence of the society in a certain time. As a general objective, it is planned to unveil the social imaginary about family that children build within the protection institution and as specific objectives, determine the images and concepts about family that children have within the protection institution, describe the affections and feelings about family that the children manifest within the protection institution, identify the wishes about family that the children express within the protection institution and recognize how through the institutional dynamics that are woven within of the institution the family imaginary is resignified. In terms of methodology, the research is of qualitative nature with an interpretative approach since from this point it is sought to place the child as an active subject of his own reality, of his world, through his own voices. To find the necessary information, four workshops and a fifth meeting are held in which a semi-structured interview is carried out, techniques through which it seeks to respond to each of the objectives set. Finally, the results reveal four imaginary meanings, two instituted ones that correspond to "The nuclear family- A construction from the tradition" and "The happy family" and two imaginary institutional meanings that correspond to "The Family as an opportunity- A significance from the overcoming of the condition ”and“ The Family as a synonym for care-A longing ”.
