Resumen
This document presents the research named Proposals to teach reading comprehension in three language textbooks for fifth grade. This is a content analysis on a corpus composed of three language textbooks produced by the publishing house Santillana between 2016 and 2018. The purpose of this study is to analyse the didactic treatment that the reading comprehension receives through the activities proposed. The study arises from the interest to understand the practices of teaching and learning of reading comprehension mediated by the indiscriminate use of textbooks in Basic Primary Education, as well as the ethnographic exercise carried out in the framework of the Master in Pedagogy of the Mother Language (MPLM) and the review of research backgrounds of the last five years on the local and international stage.
