Resumen
The present work was carried out with the objective of valuing economically according to various methodologies, the environmental impacts of the El Santuario open pit mine in Ubalá, Cundinamarca and relating it to an alternative of socioeconomic compensation according to surveys of the affected community and secondary information. Currently, there is no information that properly relates the economic valuation of the mining industry and its compensation alternative in the Colombian territory, due to the complexity, in economic and time terms presented by these studies. As a first step, a field inspection was carried out to observe the most relevant variables according to the affected population and a previous study of environmental impacts - SEI of the El Santuario mine and its compensation proposals. With this, four different methodologies can be applied properly to those of the SEI of economic valuation of environmental impacts such as Hedonic Prices, Changes in the production function, Production Costs and Expenses of prevention, restoration and replacement, which yielded values of $ 36,871,520,000 , $ 519,071,345, $ 100,159,073,134 and $ 11,096,216,652 Colombian pesos of the year 2019 respectively. With these data an alternative of socioeconomic compensation is proposed according to the selected variables, comparative methodologies, field inspection and secondary information, taking into account a DOFA analysis for such compensatory suggestions, in addition to analyzing and comparing the strategies proposed in the Environmental Management Plan from the same SEI of Paz del Rio SA, company that owns the El Santuario mine.
