Resumen
In the present investigation, a device was designed, developed and implemented to diagnose the spine deviation indices: lordosis and kyphosis, and the degree of scoliosis deviation; The method used to obtain these indices is that of sagittal arrows and the combination of the method of Tidestron and Cobb respectively.
The technology used for this purpose, was the development board NodeMCU ESP8266 and US-100 ultrasound sensors, these allow the measurement of the distances at each point of the sagittal arrows of the method, it also receives via data a Bluetooth connection degree of deviation corresponding to scoliosis, these data are obtained with a separate and wireless module consisting of the Freescale FRDM-kl25z development board with its integrated accelerometer and two IMU MPU6050 cards. The same Bluetooth connection is used bidirectionally to send the data to this scoliosis measurement module to display the data in real time through an LCD16x2 locally.
The data is processed and sent via a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet from the ESP8266 integrated to the NodeMCU, where they are visualized by the web platform developed, stored and managed by the free host co.000webhost.com that allows the storage of those measurements in a database in MySQL to track and track the evolution of the state of these pathologies in patients diagnosed with the device.
The functioning, calibration, implementation and validation tests were carried out at the Confacundi facilities located on Calle 53 # 10 - 39, with the support of a group of physiotherapist specialists in hydrotherapy rehabilitation. The results of the implementation are observable in the final tables of the results chapter, where it is highlighted that the device allows the diagnosis of deviations of the spine, but still is subject to subjective management depending on the specialist who is making the measurement. On the other hand, the accessibility of the web application allows the objective of remote access, control and consultation of the data due to its storage in host and in the database, also the requirements for the operation of the device arise: have a connection Internet with 2Mbps of data upload, or in the case of a mobile phone as an access point, have 4G coverage, this in order to guarantee an update and refresh of the data.
This project was carried out under the supervision of the DIGITI research group with the modality of research and development of technologies for Bioengineering.
