Resumen
The Illicit Crop Eradication Program by Ground Sprinkling of Glyphosate (PECAT) is the most recent strategy implemented by the Colombian National Government to reduce hectares planted with illicit crops, which was developed through a Pilot Plan in the department of Nariño. This is how from the principle of prevention to promote and protect the safety and health of Colombian workers and also taking into account the current classification given by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), where glyphosate is a " probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A) "; a qualitative study was carried out of the chemical risk to which the PECAT operators are exposed, in which it was determined that both the chemical risk by inhalation, and by contacto or skin absorption is potentially very high, therefore, so that were adjusted and formulated intervention measures.
