Abstract

This document presents the work developed during the internship carried out as part of the graduation process to obtain the degree of Environmental Administrator. The internship took place at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Colombia, specifically within the Subdirectorate of Environmental Health, in the Healthy Environments Group, where the Health Inspection, Surveillance, and Control (IVCS) process is managed at the national level. This process plays an essential role in health oversight, aimed at promoting, preventing, and protecting public and environmental health. The contributions made during the internship focused on the consolidation and standardization of information using data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, and its subsequent analysis through Power BI. All the material generated became part of the Ministry’s institutional database, which not only strengthens the information system but also allows for the establishment of communication spaces with key stakeholders in the IVCS process and the development of support, improvement, and continuity routes to strengthen this process.
