Resumen
This research work makes a study of the resistance to abrasive wear in tempered AISI 1020 steel from intercritical temperatures, evaluating the influence of time in the treatment of tempering, this steel in the industry is used for applications as axes of large sections and that Do not be too hard. Other uses include lightly hardened gears with surface hardening, surface hardened pins, pinions, chains, screws, machine components, presses and cams, as well as in the automotive industry structurally. To better analyze the abrasive wear resistance of tempered AISI 1020 steel from intercritical temperatures, hardness, microstructure and volume loss were used as parameters, which are obtained by means of thermal quenching and tempering treatments, for this case They used 51 test tubes
