Resumen
This thesis explores the role of graffiti as a resilience-building tool for a young resident of Ciudad Bolívar, Bogotá, who faces social and economic vulnerability. Through a qualitative case study, the author examines his personal narratives and the dynamics of urban art to understand how creativity and artistic expression can contribute to human development and the reconstruction of identity. Semi-structured interviews, field diaries, and documentary analysis were employed to triangulate information, revealing that graffiti functions as a safe space for emotional release, a sociocultural support network, and a means to transform adversity into opportunities for growth. Thus, urban art emerges as a resilient driver, strengthening autonomy, community participation, and the dignity of youth living in marginalized contexts, while also suggesting innovative avenues for psychosocial support and the enhancement of affective and creative capacities.
