La ficción distópica como generadora de pensamiento crítico y estético

Abstract

Perhaps some do not know the word dystopia which appears in the title of this paper; however, it is possible that at some point we had a relationship with texts (literary, cinematic or other) that give a glimpse of its features. This variant of science fiction does not do anything else than to represent or metaphorize our realities using a hyperbolic resource, something that with a careful analysis does not seem so far-fetched or distant from current events. The purposes of this paper are: make an approach to the concept of distopya, then analyze the relationship between the phenomenon of totalitarianism and dystopian fiction; this, using theoretical elements from the book "The Origins of Totalitarianism". We also rescue the concept of terror, its influence on the dystocic narratives, the social effect it has, and its evolution. This phenomenon is recognized under the sieve of the writer Albert Camus. Finally, we highlight the role of denunciation and resistance towards the logic of power that this literature assumes. It is noteworthy that the book Fahrenheit 451will be used to identify and exemplify these phenomena.
