Resumen
The territory known as the Sabana de Bogotá, has been experiencing an unprecedented transformation in the last two decades. Traditional rural scenario in the collective imagination since the 19th century, the rural territory has been disappearing to make way for housing projects of different levels, as well as to the establishment of complex industrial estates that have environmental effects with regional impact. The city of Bogotá and its metropolitan area has been experiencing a physical and demographic growth since the beginning of the decade of 1950 that has been determined directly the emergence of social phenomena and environmental facts extremely complex. The conformation of Bogota as an important city in the national context from the middle of the last century, resulting in a greater demand for housing, utilities, road infrastructure, community services, employment and social assistance among others.
