In the last few years of the history of education and pedagogy in Colombia, a subdomain of investigation referred to the history of academic disciplines and knowledge was constituted. The final doctoral investigation report, pretends to be an input to the debate and the discussion of the well-said problematic of investigation, from the question ¿How did the teaching of social sciences set up as a field of knowledge in Colombia and which were the conditions and the confluence of fights that led to the consolidation of that domain and its specificity in the period between 1976 and 1994? As an analytic horizon of general order the concept of the field of knowledge-power was created, being one of the central inputs in this thesis, that took as a base the Michael Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu postulates about the field, knowledge and power categories.
In the first chapter of the report, a nominator concept of the subfield of investigation (The history of disciplines and academic knowledge) was initially proposed, that pretends to engage historically the emergency processes and the transformation of particular activities referred to the teaching of what the subjects and fields constituted, besides the study plans or the curriculums of teaching. In the second chapter, a process of constitution of the social sciences field as an academic discipline was established. The third chapter boards the process of emergence and the consolidation of education graduates, especially in the social sciences field, as subjects that appear in the professional university formation stage. Finally, the essay presents the conclusions that synthetize the accomplished reaches in the proposed analysis at each chapter and details the thought built to determine and describe the process of configuration and consolidation of the social sciences teaching as a field of knowledge-power in Colombia throughout the XX century.
