Resumen
The project addresses the design of a ground mounting solar photovoltaic system to meet the electricity demand of the energy community of Caño Dulce (Tubará, Atlántico), based on a diagnosis of the socio-environmental situation and the limitations of the current electricity supply. The methodology used is based on the normative and technical context of the ground mounting technology and the potential of the solar resource on site. It also highlights the importance for the design of evaluating the current electrical load (approximately 230,8 kWh/day) of the energy community and its 10-year projection (approximately 253,4 kWh/day) by means of load curve analysis and average growth of 1,04% per quarter. Finally, the design is validated with simulations in Aurora Solar to ensure that the annual generation covers the demand curve; complying with the applicable regulations in force. The main conclusions are: the project is technically and economically feasible with a ROI (return on investment) of approximately 146% and a payback period of 17,7 years; applying legal incentives, the initial investment could be reduced by 32%; and, social participation is encouraged through the training and community empowerment program, promoting energy autonomy and environmental sustainability.
