Resumen
The present work aimed to design a tool that allowed establishing information about dropout that presented the Topographic Technology Curricular Project at Francisco Jose de Caldas University in the form of credits from the first half of 2013 and first half of 2015. In order to obtain these results, the Acces tool was used to organize information that curriculum project coordination had provided. The creation of this tool was done to establish information on dropout and conditions of students in each of their subjects. That is to say, the scores average and percentages of loss in each academic area. Besides, establishing a relationship between each of them and the demographic possibility to detect areas of the city with the highest dropout rates in college. All this was performed for optimizing queries related to desertion and with the intention of being part of the methodologies established by the System for Dropout Prevention in Higher Education Institutions (SPADIES), which by analyzing the factors; it determines the causes of dropout. The database stores the list of students who entered the curriculum project between the periods of 2013-I and 2015-I, which in turn is accompanied by a resume of the student that will have the origin of the institution in which high school was done, strata, scores track and statistics in real time that have been part of their academic process, (grades, subjects studied, failed subjects, desertion or loss of quota). After the compilation of the information, a test was performed with the database and a final delivery, which has a manipulation manual to the database, that will be managed by the user in charge.
