Resumen
As a species of ecological importance, representative and key to subxerophytic ecosystems, covers that fulfill a vital function for the maintenance of habitats such as coastal dunes and deserts with xeric scrub, of national importance but which have been excluded in the scheme. of conservation, given its scarce distribution and coverage, Dodonea viscosa L (Jacq) was selected to advance the present work, through which it is intended to establish a protocol for the sexual propagation of the spice through pregerminative tests that facilitate the growth of the species under controlled conditions, this being a starting point for the restoration and recovery of degraded soils in these ecosystems. (Calvachi Zambrano, 2012) This research work was carried out taking into account the reference subxerophytic ecosystem, located in the vicinity of the "Doña Juana Sanitary Landfill", there the plant material was collected, in order to be characterized according to the methodology established by the International Seed Testing Association-ISTA. In turn, a completely randomized experimental design was implemented with two treatments, Gibberellin and Heat shock, with three repetitions for each one; In the first, varying the concentration (0 ppm, 200 ppm, 400 ppm and 800 ppm) and in the second, the cooling time (0 h, 12 h, 24 h and 36 h), the percentage and germination time of the species in the different treatments for 10 weeks. Also, the initial growth curve of the species was made in the nursery. The results allowed to establish the influence of the treatments on the germination of the seeds, showing their best results with heat shock at 12 and 24 hours of cooling and in the opposite way it happened in the seeds subjected to different concentrations of gibberellin.
