La comunicación intercultural en la configuración de sujetos competentes

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze whether within the official discourse the subject is configured with intercultural communicative competence through education in Colombia; From a hermeneutic methodology that interprets the meanings of the promulgated in official discourses, educational policies and textbooks. Under the technique of content analysis, work on three levels: superficial, analytical and interpretive, in which different ways of approaching communicative competence in Colombian students were recognized. The findings allowed to conclude that the provides Colombian students acquire communication skills that allow them to relate to the environment and its place of enunciation; Very valid position within the interests of the linguistic area. However, within the vision of intercultural communicative competence, the result is of minimal scope, since the research showed that there are very few negotiations within the cultural diversity that the country has in all its manifestations, and this makes it impossible to establish and harmonize relationships with the "others", that make up the entire cultural fabric of the nation.
