Resumen
The present degree work is based on strengthening the processes of communication and social interaction through Augmentative and Alternative Communication Systems (AACS), from which elements of the Pictographic System for Communication (SPC) are taken simultaneously with other alternative strategies, which for the purposes of the process form a Bimodal and Multimodal System. This research was carried out at the Frine Integral Rehabilitation Foundation with the pedagogical level II, this level has children and adolescents between 8 and 17 years old that present different needs that affect their performance in one or more of the dimensions of their development. The main authors approached from the SCAA were Tetzchner and Martinsen (1993), Tamarit (1999) and Salazar (2000). From the adaptive skills and life skills the contributions of the World Health Organization (WHO) (1993) and Verdugo (1999) were taken up. The analysis of results was carried out from two categories: Adaptive Skills and Communication System and their respective subcategories: conceptual, social and practical and augmentative and alternative. Each one of the subcategories allowed us to visualize the importance of implementing an Augmentative Communication System that allows strengthening the Adaptive Skills (personal- social and Communicative) to improve the quality of life of the subject. From this we can conclude that the training and the field of action of the child pedagogue are directed towards the transformation of social processes and the accompaniment in the formation of all human beings.
