Resumen
This research shows an investigative process developed in the District School Juan Lozano y Lozano with the transition degrees and the first grade of the afternoon sessions within the framework of the formative practice that was carried out during 2016 and 2017, the research had the purpose of contributing to the identity construction of boys and girls in the school environment through the pedagogical mediation of the puppet. Recognizing the influence of the role of the teacher on the subject and the school as a favorable scenario to build knowledge, a function that it can not be fulfilled if it ignores the context in which it is immersed and without recognizing how the subject inserts itself in it, as with the fact that the boy and the girl are permeated by different factors which make them subjects with their own identity. The school needs to leave the memorization and reproduction of content, homogenization and alignment of subjects to offer sensitive experiences that resignify their role, becoming part of the reality of each subject to raise awareness of the child's identity and allow boys and girls to get closer of their own identity building process; understanding that each of the subjects is unique and different. this research shows the necessity of making a proposal from the school that retakes the pedagogical mediation through the puppet as an object of transition to report, analyze and reflect about the child's own identity.
