Resumen
The project aims to evaluate the influence of different machining strategies on the surface roughness and dimensional accuracy of parts made of ASTM 6061 aluminum, using CAM software for the selection of tool paths and keeping constant cutting parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. For this purpose, experimental tests will be carried out on a CNC machining center, where the surface roughness and dimensional accuracy of the machined parts will be measured. The data obtained will be analyzed using statistical techniques, applying ANOVA to determine the influence of each machining strategy on the quality of the surface finish and dimensional accuracy. From these analyses, the optimal path that minimizes roughness and ensures compliance with the dimensions specified in the software will be identified. The results of the study will provide practical recommendations to optimize the machining processes, allowing to improve the quality of the final product, reduce manufacturing times and reduce production costs, with a methodology that can be replicated in different industrial environments.
