Resumen
This document is the final report of the internship developed as a partial requirement to opt for the title of sanitary engineer, at the Francisco José de Caldas District University. In it are recorded all the activities carried out by the intern Johan Sebastián Gómez Anaya in the Colombian Ocean Commission. The work consisted in supporting the National Technical Committee of marine pollution, in the determination of the variability of some physicochemical and microbiological parameters, by establishing annual averages of historical data during the period 2001-2016, in the sectors Isla Aguja - Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Boca de la Barra (IA-CGSM) and Isla Aguja-Rio Piedras (IA-RP). During this work, the existing information was collected in each of these sectors - winter and summer - and the missing information - less than 30% - was projected through the application of linear regression models (Linear, logarithmic, exponential, potential and hyperbolic model).). Finally, the concentrations of the different parameters were analyzed, according to their climate, and it was found that the Aguja-Rio Piedras Island sector (IA-RP) has lower concentrations in some parameters such as turbidity, BOD, suspended solids, total Coliforms and thermos tolerant, Escherichia Coli and Fecal Enterococci) and higher concentrations in other parameters such as percentage of oxygen saturation, salinity, pH and electrical conductivity. Although these values are close to the standard concentrations of seawater, the water quality in this sector is better than that found in the sector Isla Aguja-Ciénaga Grande of Santa Marta Boca de la Barra (IA-CGSM).
