Resumen
This interpretation-creation project wonders about the defense mechanisms that a group of women dancers and circus artists from Bogotá generated in the face of an unknown work experience abroad. These experiences are collected through methodological tools, such as documentary archaeology, semi-structured interviews and the use of autoethnographic narratives, which allow us to unravel the practices and logics of self-care during the workday, highlighting the predominance of the male gaze towards women in the workplace, and to identify the types of violence they received. From there, a creative laboratory is developed that enables the creation of choreographic material that is taken to produce an interdisciplinary Dance-Theater product, that aims to demonstrate the ability of women to defend themselves despite encountering and colliding with an unknown culture.
