Diseño De Una Aplicación Web Para El Sector Óptico De La Ciudad De Bogotá Para Mejorar Los Tiempos De Entrega De Los Lentes A Los Pacientes

Abstract

Currently one of the main actors in the coverage of the visual health needs of the population are optics, who provide the service of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and correction of visual defects through the formulation of lenses. These formulas are sent to the optical laboratories, who are in charge of the elaboration of the lens based on the requirements established in the formula and the measurements of the type of frame selected by the patient in which the assembly of the lenses is made. Nowadays the flow of information between these actors is inefficient, given that this is done manually and not by the use of information technologies, which leads to quite long periods of time in the delivery of the lenses to the patients. Considering that vision problems are a specific health issue and that they affect the normal development of people's daily activities, it is important to satisfy this need in the shortest time possible. The following work realizes the study for the design of a Web application that helps to establish a real-time communication between the optics and the laboratory in the placement of the order, in order to optimize the delivery times of the lenses to the patients, making the sector more efficient.
