Resumen
This research focuses on the analysis of the municipal bus routes connecting Ciudad Verde area to the Terreros - Hospital CV Transmilenio station. Four bus routes operate in this zone, called as No. 5, No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8, which share a common origin and, in some cases, parts of their routes. Due to high demand and the convergence of these bus routes at specific points, mobility problems such as vehicular congestion and passenger overcrowding occur. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of these routes, considering variables such as route design, passenger volume, and travel and waiting times. To gather data on these variables, passenger boarding and alighting studies will be conducted, and user surveys will be implemented to obtain their perspectives about the routes. The data collected in the field will allow for an analysis of the routes’ performance and determine to what extent they meet user needs. Additionally, the surveys will provide information about passenger perceptions of the service. Based on these results, recommendations will be proposed to optimize the routes and improve the travel experience for residents of Ciudad Verde.
