Resumen
The research focuses on childhood and the configuration of children´s identities from collective memory and oral tradition exercises, made viable by intergenerational dialogue and an approach to the past from memories and strategies that activate memory; the aim is to make children visible as individuals who construct their own personal and collective memories, highlighting intersubjectivity, oral language and culture as favorable scenarios where the narrative of children and adults may meet. All these foster the encounter of build related identities that are to ta otherness concept. The current study is developed under the qualitative research methodology with ethnographic study type, whose main scenario is the field work. The study was cumed out indifferent meetings with second grade students attending the public school Fanny Mikey. These students along with their families formed the group of “memory travelers”. This proposal explores the construction of memory of the territory, and the different social, cultural and narrative scenarios in which children shape their identities, making possible to understand the diversity and social phenomena associated with the national context, disputes over the territory and the consequences derived from it.
