Resumen
This monograph explores the construction of a surreal body for the scene in contemporary dance. Here I consider surrealism as a fertile field to expand the language of the movement beyond logic and representation.. The research, which is exploratory and reflexive in nature, arises from a series of personal questions about the hegemonic structures of dance, virtuosity, and the need for an alternative perspective. The main objective is to propose surrealist devices that enable the exploration of movement and scenic creation, involving people with and without experience in dance. To this end, two creative laboratories were designed and implemented, focusing on the use of methodologies such as play, chance, and psychic automatism. The findings, derived from the analysis of these processes and their outcomes, allow for a discussion on the concept of the surreal body and propose a new poetics that is nourished by the unconscious, juxtaposition, and the freedom of movement, thus offering new conceptual and practical tools for the field of dance.
