Resumen
A practical manual is presented as a reference text, socializing the knowledge needed to eliminate the noise of a point cloud and reduce errors that can affect digital terrain models. The document focuses on professionals or students in charge of tasks in areas such as Surveying and will be based on the implementation of the MicroStation V8 program and its TerraScan extension. To give scope, the basic tools for cleaning point clouds in MicroStation v8 software are determined, classification codes are defined to separate noise from cloud values using the Tarrascan tool and it is identified that there is no noise to achieve optimal cleaning. In this sense, it is concluded that the MDE and the MDT are different since an MDE focuses mainly on the elevation of bare ground, while a MDT incorporates additional geographical elements such as rivers, streams and break lines, without considering the artificial objects or elements present on the surface. In addition, the exercise allows to elaborate a guide that provides the necessary knowledge to eliminate the noise of a point cloud, thus reducing errors that may affect digital models
