Abstract

The present work is developed within the framework of the specialization in Human Development with emphasis on affective processes and creativity of the Faculty of Sciences and Education, seeking to recognize artistic expressions in therapeutic and affective processes, of a group of older people in the light of occupational interventions by the area of therapy, this considering an approach to the promotion of mental health, concluding that, indeed, art can become a facilitator in these therapeutic processes, however, the characteristics of the population must be recognized and the necessary fact of name and recognizing emotions; communication being a basic need where art can serve as a vehicle that influences our personal development, our human development.
