Resumen
Garcés Navas IED school in Bogotá focuses on mathematics, English, and arts (dance and music) in its curriculum for five educational cycles. Before 2019, the institution prioritized mathematics and English due to administrative and staff changes. The 2019 pandemic disrupted the structuring of the arts focus due to virtual learning and staff mobility. Curriculum analysis shows a dominance of Cartesian logic knowledge, relegating arts and humanities to individual teacher efforts. From the dance subject, the idea of implementing pedagogical harmonization through carnival and festive culture emerged, following Durkheim's ideas on "festivity" and its role in solidarity and common life, as mentioned by Canclini. This approach aims to integrate interculturality, communication, creativity, and critical thinking into student development, promoting a transversal and transdisciplinary pedagogy with a social impact inside and outside the educational community.
