This research process aimed to propose pedagogical guidelines for the implementation of the chair for peace in initial education. This process is based on a theoretical framework where different conceptions were woven around the meaning of initial education, child development, culture, peace and different relevant aspects in relation to the consolidation of a peaceful culture focused. The approach and methodological design were raised from a qualitative perspective, whose strategies were: the documentary analysis and expert judgment. Based on the documentary analysis of the guidelines and the orientation developed by the Ministry of National Education in relation to the implementation of the law chair for peace, there were significant aspects and gaps in the implementation of the chair in initial education which motivated the construction of the proposal of pedagogical orientations that are presented here. To validate this proposal, a discussion group was formed with a teacher team from initial education. In this sense, the carried out research provides results and recommendations, which allow the recognition of the meaning of initial education, to improve the processes around the implementation of the Chair for Peace, with children from 4 to 5 years old, facilitating that this chair for peace will be a reality in the classrooms, besides it can contribute to the construction of a culture of peace.
