Evaluación de alternativas técnicas para el tratamiento de aguas residuales domésticas en la parcelación los mangos, Tocaima - Cundinamarca

Abstract

The objective of this project is to evaluate different technical alternatives for the treatment of domestic wastewater in Los Mangos, located in the municipality of Tocaima, Cundinamarca. This project responds to the growing need to implement sustainable sanitation systems in rural areas of Colombia, where sewage infrastructure is insufficient or nonexistent. Three treatment alternatives were proposed: intermittent filters, subsurface artificial wetlands (HAS), and a variant of improved artificial wetlands (HASs). To meet the objectives of the project, a review of the national market for wastewater treatment technologies was carried out, followed by a technical and financial evaluation, which led to the conclusion of the most viable alternatives, taking into account the needs of the construction company.
