Resumen
This research work focuses on generating a community tourism model based on the problem statement of the trails of the municipality in Chaparral Tolima. It aims for the research to participate uniformly; through participatory action, contemplating four components that will allow the members and support facilitators to use these instruments, generating knowledge that could find the tourism design that best suits. In the rural area of the municipality, agricultural activities stand out, which in other places have been sources of agritourism, potentially enhancing activities individually and/or collectively, but have generated significant changes in the community and the economy, extending with agreements from the benefited public and private sectors; it can be beneficial for tourists and local communities, promoting sustainable development, environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and economic growth in rural areas. According to the sources consulted, it is evident how the option of viewing tourism as a good or service offers rural areas support and strengthening to their activities by intervening in the monetary resources perceived by the community.
