In the following work, it is intended to carry out a validation of the roads with high accident rates due to pedestrian collisions in the city of Bogotá with the help of GIS tools, in order to collect sample information regarding accepted and rejected gaps for pedestrians at non-signalized intersections. , specifically during morning rush hours. This is intended to be done through aerial videos taken from drones, in order to evaluate both the critical gap, the speed of pedestrian crossing, as well as other variables that affect decision-making when accepting or rejecting a space of time. between vehicles. The purpose of the research is to generate a pedestrian characterization in these situations of highly dangerous crossings which is contrasted with the background of the problem to better understand the behavior of pedestrians in the described context of Bogotá, which seeks to strengthen the existing information on the topic in order to contribute to the safety of pedestrians as high-risk road actors in city road projects.
