Abstract

The internship takes place in a crucial context today, where it is imperative that the State exercise effective control over the levels of competition in the telecommunications market in Colombia. This control becomes essential to avoid the consolidation of monopolies or oligopolies in this highly strategic sector, thus guaranteeing the provision of quality services and fair prices to users. The challenge is to regulate and supervise competition in Colombian telecommunications, avoiding monopolies and oligopolies harmful to consumers. To address this, an artificial intelligence algorithm was programmed. With the aim of predicting a competition index in this sector. We explore advanced AI techniques, implement it in MATLAB, and evaluate its performance. This unique approach keeps competition constant and provides authorities and companies with advance information preventing the concentration of power. Quantitative evaluation ensures its accuracy in the real world. In short, the project seeks to contribute to a fair and competitive Colombian telecommunications market.
