Resumen
This document develops a transient stability and a small signal analysis of a multi-machine system. Hence, the analysis uses the data proposed by El-Abiad and K. Nagappan, and the results from the transient stability study obtaned by Lyapunov's second method; these studies were compared to the answers obtained from the DigSILENT PowerFactory 15.1 system. Therefore, the "RMS/EMS Simulation" funtion is implemented, allowing to define the t-δ curves, the speed profiles, the voltage and the frequency. In addition, the small signal study is included with the "Modal Analysis" function that allows the visualization of the system responses to the smallest disruptions throughout the root locus analysis. Finally, this analysis allows to get a wider view to the stability problems stablished for robust systems that must support failures during the operation. Likewise, new techniques could be imple-mented to coordinate protections.
