At Softtek Renovation S.A.S.'s Bogotá headquarters, the IT department faced difficulties with the manual management of its IT assets. This process was carried out through informal requests, which generated delays in updating asset statuses in the Global Warehouse inventory software, in addition to errors and additional workload for the analyst in charge, making it difficult to track equipment assignments, de-assignments, retirements, and control of fixed assets. This need arose from the idea of developing a ticketing system to manage asset management. To this end, a web tool was designed using accessible technologies such as Google Apps Script, Google Sheets, HTML, Bootstrap, and jQuery, with the goal of building a functional, secure, and intuitive solution for both the IT team and employees. The system allows for recording requests for equipment assignment, de-assignment, retirements, and report requests, and stores all related evidence in the cloud. This significantly improves inventory control, reduces response times, and prevents data loss. It also facilitates processes such as internal and external audits, which previously represented a significant challenge. This project, which was developed in four months with an estimated investment of $8,356,000 COP, not only represents a technological improvement for the company. In short, beyond being a technical tool, this system seeks to transform the way technological resources are managed within the company, making work more efficient, transparent, and humane.
