Resumen
Illegal operations in the maritime environment, especially those related to illegal traffic, piracy and smuggling are a problem that threatens the security of nations and at the same time weakens economies; Consequently, it turns the largest and most important commercial medium in the world into a conflictive, insecure and uncertain space that can threaten the life and integrity of people. These conflicts are emerging and complex given the secret and criminal origin of these organizations. The criminal activities mentioned can be seen from the predator-prey models that are basically a search and capture problem, in which two main types of agents intervene, predators (seekers) and prey, where the former want to capture the latter. . Under this approach and with the implementation of agent-based simulation, we seek to represent, analyze and establish through scenario experimentation, a dynamic solution that adjusts to different related contexts that we want to study. In addition, it is sought that the integration of the A * heuristic within the simulation provides an option regarding the strategic positioning of the predator, a topic that corresponds to a subproblem of maritime interdiction operations to solve the question. Where should the predator position itself in such a way as to help maximize the amount of prey captured relative to the prey that manages to escape?
