Resumen
An overview of the research carried out in the field of Mathematics Education is presented regarding the research problem "the notion of infinity in Basic education students". These investigations and developments open a window to this investigation under the EOS. Next we present an approach to the research problem with classic tasks about the work of the notion of infinity, and others expressed from the systems of representation, paradoxes and investigations of the work of the notion of infinity, in all educational fields from mathematics, providing us a qualitative systematization of results associated with the ontosemiotic analysis, with some theoretical and practical appraisals around the infinite potential and current infinite in the classroom.
