Resumen
Abstract The document entitled Promotion of Comprehensive Reading Through Hypertextual Resources arise from the question, What elements characterize reading comprehension, when two alternatives of educational material are used; hypertext and printed text? The theoretical basis assumes contributions from Landow (2009), referring to hypertext, Cassany, Luna & Sanz (1994) from the field of reading and comprehension and Henao (1995) understanding of text in hypermedial format, among other sources. The qualitative-descriptive and mixed study takes the field diary, participant observation and initial and final test of comprehensive reading as collection instruments. Taking into account the categories of reading comprehension, locate the informacion, understand, reflect. For its development, two groups of fifth grade from different public institutions are taken; hypertextual reading activities are implemented to the experimental group and activities with printed lineal readings to the control group. Based on the results, the analysis is made about the comprehensive ability in both formats.
