Diseño de Máquina Automatizada para Abrir y Cerrar Moldes de Autopartes

Abstract

This document presents the design of an automated machine for opening and closing molds of auto parts, which supplies safety and productivity needs. To begin the design process, a visit was made to the Continental de Partes Company, where the operation of the current mechanism was observed along with the autoparts manufacturing process. From this visit the failures of this mechanism were obtained. We conclude that it is necessary to implement a machine that opens and closes the mold in a semi-automatic way, correcting the current problems. The next step was to brainstorm with possible solutions, thus completing a large list that in turn was grouped by the functions that the machine will perform, three possible designs were proposed and a compliance matrix that related the functions and These choices, the dominant design was chosen. For its development it was necessary to make use of knowledge acquired through the study of subjects such as static, resistance of materials, design of elements among others. With the implementation of the design being presented, we conclude that with effort and investment can greatly improve the production processes in a company.
