Abstract

The sports venues of Centro de Alto Rendimiento - CAR of MINDEPORTE, are spaces that must have high quality infrastructure for the efficient development of sports practices. Thus, by specifically covering CAR Olympic swimming pool, the Olympic Swimming Pool Use, Maintenance and Safety Manual sought to guarantee the potentiation of the scenario conditions, generating an adaptation and a rethinking that allowed covering key aspects to be taken into account. into account when developing management of the Olympic pool. For this reason, to carry out this reformulation, a diagnostic process had to be carried out on the stage, using an evaluation tool that was based on an evaluation form, in addition to making an exhaustive documentary collection highlighting guidelines of the International Swimming Federation. – FINA and the Manual of Sports Venues – MED of the Ministry of Sports. As a result, was possible to qualify the scenario and new aspects were included in the MUMAS of the Olympic Pool, such as explanation of the correct use of parts of the scenario, specification of the areas of the scenario, preventive maintenance of the parts of the scenario, security regime within CAR among many other elements. Finally, and as a consequence of this process, was possible to identify elements for improvement within the scenario, highlighting the importance of the constant relationship with the manufacturer, as well as correcting improper use actions, all this seeking to enhance the useful life of the pool.
